Nammakudisai operates NK Dashboard (the "App"), a business management application that lets shop owners — mobile shops, hotels, grocery stores, jewelry stores, fashion stores, electrical shops and other small businesses — manage billing, stock, customers and staff (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you download, access, or use the App, or otherwise communicate with us.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By downloading, accessing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in it.

Personal Information We Collect

When we use the term "personal information," we mean information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you. Depending on how you interact with the App, we may collect or process the following categories of information:

  • Account & Google Sign-In information — your name, email address and profile details, when you sign in to the App using Google Sign-In.
  • Shop details — shop name, shop type, owner name, phone number, GST number and address, provided when you register or update your shop profile.
  • Business data you enter — bills, invoices, stock/inventory records, customer records, staff records, expenses and payment records that you create while using your dashboard.
  • Payment information — subscription payment details processed through Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI or bank account details on our own servers.
  • Device & usage information — basic information about your device, app version, and how you interact with the App, to help us fix bugs and improve performance.
  • Communications — information you share with us when you contact support via WhatsApp, email or phone.

Personal Information Sources

We collect personal information from the following sources:

  • Directly from you — when you create a shop account, sign in with Google, or enter business data into your dashboard.
  • Automatically through the App — basic device and usage information collected as you use the App.
  • From our service providers — Google (Sign-In and Google Sheets-based storage) and Razorpay (payment processing), who process information on our behalf.

How We Use Your Personal Information

  • Provide and improve the Services. To create and manage your shop account, sign you in securely, run your dashboard (billing, stock, customer and staff management), and improve the App's features and performance.
  • Process payments. To process your subscription payments through Razorpay and manage your trial/subscription status.
  • Security and fraud prevention. To authenticate your account, protect against unauthorized access, and secure your shop's data.
  • Communicating with you. To provide customer support, respond to your queries, and send important account or subscription-related notifications.
  • Legal reasons. To comply with applicable law or respond to valid legal requests.

We do not use your personal or business information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We only disclose personal information in limited circumstances:

  • With Google — for Google Sign-In authentication, and because your shop's business data (bills, stock, customers) is stored in a Google Sheets-based system linked to your shop.
  • With Razorpay — to process your subscription payments securely.
  • For legal reasons — to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal requests, or protect the rights and safety of Nammakudisai, our users, or others.
  • In connection with a business transaction — such as a merger, acquisition, or restructuring of Nammakudisai.

We do not share your personal or business data with any other third party for marketing purposes.

Data Storage

Your shop's day-to-day business data (bills, stock, customer and staff records) is stored in a Google Sheets-based system linked to your shop. You remain the owner of this data at all times, and it is not accessible to other shop owners using the App.

Children's Data

The App is not intended for use by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us to request that it be deleted.

Security and Retention of Your Information

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee "perfect security." We retain your personal and business information for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

Your Rights and Choices

  • Right to Access. You may request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to Delete. You may request that we delete your account and associated personal information.
  • Right to Correct. You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Reset app data on your device. You can reset your saved shop selection anytime from Settings → Reset App Data. This clears saved data on that device only.

Third-Party Services

The App uses Google Sign-In, Google Sheets/Apps Script, and Razorpay to provide its Services. Your use of these third-party services is also subject to their own privacy policies:

International Transfers

Please note that we may transfer, store and process your personal information outside the country you live in, including through Google's and Razorpay's infrastructure.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. We will post the revised Privacy Policy here and update the "Last updated" date.
